what is the size of the rocker arm studs (bolts) for the stock 670 this is for the 67 gto 400

Loaded question... common area of confusion. The "base thread" is 7/16-14 (where the stud screws into the head). The top thread is 3/8-24 (where the rocker nut torques down to keep the rocker in place). This is the same for all Pontiac V8s through '79 (beginning in '67), with any head with "screw-in" studs. The Pineer rep[lacement part number is RM-357. Melling number is MRDS-939.
Where are you going with this? Modifications? Confused computer operator at Auto Zone? (can't really be called a "parts guy")

thanks for the info, I am installing a new cam and lifters, I wanted to replace the rockers, with some true 1.5 ratio ones, I wasn't sure what size the stud was, Do you know of any companies that sell non roller thats 1.5 ? either way I want another set.
