Timing Chain Cover Water Leak

There is a small pin hole leak at the bottom near the thermostat housing on the timing chain cover. Are there any quick fixes out there (JB Weld or similar products or welding). Has anyone else had this problem. Seems to be too involved to replace myself. Too many things seem to have to come off. Dealer quotes about $700 to replace, parts and labor. This part appears to be aluminum. Is there any way to repair.

I had a timing case coolant leak and it was pretty involved. you'll need some specialty tools like a pulley puller and a air impact wrench will come in handy to pull the dampener bolt. I took me a full day to complete and I already had the tools. Sorry I have no quick fixes - - best of luck
