after I installed the stillen hf intake, i think my engine started to knock more (that pinging noice). I always put in 89 gas, and yesterday i put in 93 and drove around about 30 miles, and it still does that, whats up?

I think it might be fine. Maybe it was just not as noticeable when I had my airbox on their, but became more noticeable when I put my intake on. My RPMS dont jump up like crazy, so I know the two sensors that I worked with are fine, so I dont know if there is that big of a problem there. Others seem to be getting it too. So hopefully its fine.

just a question but did u mess with your timing? it sounds like u may have too much of a timing advance, hense the knocking. if not the timing might be off, id have it checked out by someone. knock is pritty serious, knock=hot, hot=broken/melted things

Had a thought, are your still having that problem? If you are it might just simply be your stillen intake hitting the side of your strut tower or wheel fender. Cause when i first put on the same, the whole piping and airfilter was loose, so everytime i step on the gas you would hear a knock or a thump against the strut tower, and the harder i'd hit the gas the louder the thump... It could be something that simple! worth to check- not sure if i'm totally off though...

No its not from the intake hitting the chasis, I took care of that already. Its some knocing noice. First of all, I dont even know how to change the timing, and the only thing I did in the engine was remove the airbox, and put in the intake, I didn't remove or change around any sensors, so I couldn't have done anything wrong. Maybe it's because when the airbox was there, the sound was not as noticable, but it is a little bit more now. So I dont know whats wrong. (My dad's 91 Oldsmobile cutlass cierra knocks like crazy but still runs like new)

Knock is bad. Engines aren't supposed to make knocking sounds.

Your dad's engine might be hangin' in there fine, but your dad's engine doesn't hit 7000 rpm either.

Could be overadvanced timing ... detonation is never a good thing. Could be something more sinister going wrong internally ...bearing gone bad (if you throw a rod it'll cost you... though that probably would've happened by now). Could be a whole host of things.
A knocking sound coming from your engine has the potential to spoil your day real bad, real fast.

The point is that no one here can diagnose what the problem is (no one can) without properly checkin' out the car... which is the job of a qualified mechanic.

Get it checked out by a good mechanic. If it's nothing serious then you're only out a few bucks.

If you don't get it checked and it is something serious, your wallet is in for a world of hurtin'. ... and you'll kick yourself for not doin' something about it when you had the chance.

Don't just forget about it because you didn't touch anthing that could mess things up. It might just be coincidence that something's gone wrong just at the very time you're modding your car... something that would've gone wrong anyway.

Get it checked!

Good luck. Hope it ain't too serious.
