It seems like my LHS is out and wont have any primers and clear in stock for a while.
Has anyone tried regular automotive primers and clear to sabstitute the Tamiya stuff and if did, what brands work best.
Thank
Paul

Duplicolor is the best to use with Tamiya spray, Well actually its the only automotive spray I use. The clear goes over tamiya no problem, and tamiya lays over duplicolor primer with no problem.

I've said it once, and I'll say it again. Cross breeding is more chance of trouble and should be avoided.

I have had no problem with Tamiya over Dupli Color Primer. I have had problems with Dupli Color over Tamiya though. I'd say shoot some Acrylic Clear or just wait for the Tamiya Clear to get there:) Or you could try that Future floor wax stuff:)

I use that combo and it worked without problems.
