Old maxima=rwd?

I think my dad is wrong. He told me he used to have a rwd maxima. He claims it was an 80's model. He said they offered FWD and RWD. He said he had a fwd wagon and a rwd 4 door...Did they come in RWD or is he mistaken?

he's right. the first generation maxima was rwd. i think it went to fwd in 85.

google maxima history, there are some good stories... the question is, how maxima is defined as a model? US? Japan? EU? Bananaland?

I looked up the history and asked him. He said he thinks it was a 83 or 84. Man I didn't think they ever came in RWD. I am in the USA um...If thats what you were asking...Thanks for the help
