hey my boy has a 90 civic hatch and he's selling it. the guy that is buying it told him he'll pay more for it if the exhaust was fixed, (lots and lots of holes)! He went to midas and they told him 300 for the whole cat-back, but the Pace Setter cat-back is only like 150. But he wants to know how long it will last on the car??? He wants to know this b/c he heard they were bad exhausts!!! anyways, how long will a Pace-Setter exhaust last???

One of my buddy's had pacesetter on his prelude, and it sounded like hell. He only paid 10 bucks for it though b/c it was a return at pep boys.

a whole new stock exhuast should only run u a 100-150 at most, but the pacesetter should start to rust away, as soon as natural light hits it when you open the box, but if you sell it off, then who cares, just make the new buyer sign for it as-is so he cant charge ya for anything.

I've heard you can replace the pacesetter muffler with a good one, still using the pacesetter piping, and end up with a pretty good sounding exhaust. This true?
Anyways, my sister's stock exhaust went out on her CRX and the pacesetter was the cheapest way to get her back on the road. Its been a couple months and its still holding up pretty well. We've gotten rain, snow, and all sorts of weather here too.

Just get another factory one put on. If you want to do a performance exhaust system, get a real shop to make it, not Midas. Sport Compact Car Magazine did a big article on custom performance exhaust a while back. A ton of info in it.
