I've talked to different people on here about powder coating and how well the little cheap kits work and such. I have also done research and posted on powdercoating forums (jesus there are forums for EVERYTHING) Well I picked up my new blasting cabnet filled it up with some glass bead found an aluminum lamp that I had laying around the house (good project to test on) bead blasted the lamp down to raw aluminum then used my $59.99 powdercoat gun and then baked it in the oven for 10 minutes at 450 degrees. I must say I am very impressed! Looks like professional powder coat nice and smooth and very durable. I recomend it to anyone.

That's sweet, how much did everything cost? (Blasting and coating.)

I purchased my blasting cabnet onsale for $89.99, Found a place local that hooked me up witha pretty good price on glass bead (Grade 6) $27.50 Powdercoat gun was also purchased on sale $59.99 and powder coat was $9.99 for 8ounce can of black. (covers about 10sq ft, or same as 3 cans of spray paint)

Thx yeah it's my car, I plan on powdercoating th valve cover to match the car as well as all of the hard lines those I think I"m going to just do in black and whatever else strikes me as I'm taking the engine out to paint the bay. Yes regular oven 400 degrees for like 15min. NICE and Smooth
