I dropped a small part behind the rear seat of my 02 Deville and I cannot figure how to remove the seat . I remember the older cars, you simply pushed down and back and then lift forward. This does not seem to work for me. Any help appreciated.

Did you ever figure this out? I have the same problem with a 2000 DeVille.

Theres a real good web site for removal of seats door panels etc. look under car stereo installation
or installing car stereo. When I installed new stereo
in my 92 eldo., I took out back seat cushion by removing bolt from "U" hook right in middle of the back seat.be a little brave and push down hard on
middle of seat and stick your hand in. you wil probably feel a bolt.

Thanks. I ended up figuring this out thanks to a Honda mechanic (Yes, Honda). All you do is pull up really hard on the seat. There are 2 hooks that come loose with lots of upward force (upward only).
