I'm hoping that there is someone out there kind enough to provide me with a diagram of rear brake drum reassembly for an 84 mustang! Yes I know that I should have done something to prevent this but I didn't so I need some help to make sure I put them back together right. I appreciate any help I get!
Thanks
Thanks

i did the rear brakes on my '89, it's not hugely difficult. gotta watch out for asbestos, i'd run run some water into the brake system before you pop the drum off to wash it away.
go to murray's, autozone, etc and buy a service manual. that'll give you a pretty decent description of what you have to do. do one side at a time, and use the other side as a template so you dont' screw anything up. take each side apart slowly and carefully. use white lithium grease on all the surfaces that will see friction on the backing plate. you can get a set of cheap drum brake tools at an auto parts store, i suggest using them as much as possible.
anyway, like i said, not that hard... good luck.

Thanks for the advice! I am buying a Chiltons anyways for future reference. I did however take both sides apart, and ofcourse soon wards I realized what a bad idea it was! Again I appreciate the advice!
