I recently got a new engine in my car because my old oil-burner needed to rest in peace (or pieces). So I went to the shop and had them drop in a new D15...they told me that it was a JDM engine but it was basically the same one that was in the car before. The engine says "D15" on it but the DX engine is a D15B2..is the engine the same or is there some differences to it? I know that there is a D15 vtec but that's not my engine... :)

I have the same motor. Jdm d15b non-vtec. It is alittle better block then the b2 but nothing noticeable really.

yes they kept DPFI on the engine..I don't think it could damage the engine?? is the jdm d15 built better?

If there is any real difference it might be the compression is a touch higher, and the cam might be a bit more agressive, both should give you a few more HP, but should be just as reliable as the USDM part.

if long block means block and head, then yes it is a long block, the engine came with a head on it. non-vtec.
