i am doing a engine swap for my s10.. i currently have a 2.8 manual
i am converting it to a lt1 and i was wondering if the cheap way out for me is to keep the drive train,, can i change the bell housing on my tranny with one off a 4.3? will a bell housing off a 4.3 bolt up to a tranny off a 2.8?

You'll have to change the bell housing, and possibly the entire transmission.
Look into a comaro 3.4L, it's a direct bolt in and not to hard to do
