Hey guys,
Im new to this board, been posting on the 4Runner board for ahwile now but My wife and I are very close to buying our first minivan, and after looking at and driving quite a few, we found a 2003 sedona ex on saturday with only 13000 miles on it, white with tan leather, loaded with the exception of the entertainment system...gotta give somewhere i guess. Basicly IM just looking for any input anyone has to give, I think I covered all the basics on the vehicle, we would be paying 14,900 with them paying off our 99 sportage for 4400. Sound like a fair deal? Good van? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Brian

PS: IF we do buy, im sure youll be seeing alot more of me here.

Hi I've owned a Kia Sedona for over two years now. Recently I've recieved notice of two recalls one for a throttle cable that could freeze and another for poor wiring under driver's power seat.

Last summer, the left front ball joint was found to be bad. The dealership was good about repairing the vehicle, however, the parts took several weeks to come in. Apparently to get to the ball joint the entire front-end had to be dismantled. Upon accessing repairs the dealership found the power steering column to be bad as well as the power steering pump.

Six months later after replacing all four tires(after only 25,0000 miles) my mechanic found the outer tie rod to be loose on the same side as
the bad ball joint,(driver's side).

Soon I will need to go to Kia for the recalls... I'll keep you posted on this troublesome front end.

The Sedona is a good reliable vehicle if you maintain it. We dont see many problems with them, except minor annoyances but nothing more than any other manufacturer.

I strongly suggest that the trans. be flushed every 30k miles and not just dropping the pan and changing the 4 quarts in there I am talking a full 12 quart flush.
