Well...I know of no place that sells them. I have custom made shift boots for automatic shifters before. I had to measure all the dimentions out first...the angle it would be at in it's furtherst postions at both ends (park and D1). Measure the circumfernce of the lower surround where the shift box goes into the center concole, measure the circumfrence of the shifter where I wanted to cnnect it. Then I sewed em up, do a double stitch to make it look nice (inncorrectly often refered to as a french seam). You can use a small zip-tie to attach it to the shifter, the pressure between the shifter box and center console should hold the lower part, though if you really worry you can make a mounitng ring, though I've never had to.

I just used a manual boot and shoved it between the console and gear selector display part. Worked fine. Never came out or anything.

you can remove and paint the dash trim. although, yes, chipping can happen. I painted my interior but so far the only thing not chipping is the dash components...instrument cluster bezel, guage cluster bezel and surround, dash panels, all good...The rest I was lazy and just slapped paint on - chippidy chip.

well....i've never used a dash trim kit but I have heard B & I is supposed to make decent dash trim kits...I have been thinking of seeing if my boss @ the upholstery shop will get a wholesale account with them so I can get one wholesale from them just to see what I think of it...but I don't know...it won't be for awhile...

A shift boot will really help the interior though, it really helps it look a lot less low rent. As GScivic7 and I said...shove the lower part between the center console and gear selector plate...the presuure should hold it in place...I've never had one come out so I've never made a mounting ring for it...though it wouldn't be too hard for me to do if I ever need to...a zip time as I said can help hold the upper part to the shifter so it doesn't slip up and down...in fact...when you buy those "e-brake handle and boot sets," thats often how they hold the e-brake boot to the handle....the put the boot on inside out and upside down, zip tie it and then pull it right side out...and there they have it...it holds solid, does not slip and is the proper direction and all.
