I'm on holiday for 3 weeks :evillol: so thought i'd try and make a dent in some of my models waiting to be built.
Started this today with cleaning up of parts and painting of interior.
Wanted a bigger wheel then came with the kit so have gone for these to give it a "chunky" look and a lowering job.
Tomorrow the body will be primmed and a colour picked out as a finish coat.

An Evo III with the Pman shine!! this should be a good one, cant wait to see how this turns out, built a Hasegawa EVO III a year ago and it was quite tricky to set up the ride height since it rode like a bus, hope that this Fujimi kit would be a lot easier to lower.Good luck with this build im sure it will be another epic build from you.

Progress has been good yesterday and today. Finally nice to be able to sit down and spend a whole day at the modelling table!! :sunglasse
The body was primed yesterday then baked on to harden it over night so the top coat could be applied today.
Final finish is 5 coats of Tamiya light blue (ts23).
The interior was finished in light grey/black with blue inserts in the seats. I then added a different touch by adding a thin black "stich" line between the two colours.
Body will now be left for awhile so the paint can harden before its polished and detail painting like rubbers, lights etc done.

Nice work as usual, the paint is very shiny, but I'm not a big fan of the color.

How do you go about "baking" your painted models?
At my work we have a locker size cuboard that we use to dry water etc from our electrical components. This is great for baking the paint.
Just leave it in there for 6-8 hours after priming, allow to cool down, leave for another 3-4 hours and then paint with a finish.

Today i spent on body detail like panel lines/trim/windows and lights. Not sure if i will stick with the rear spoiler....looks abit to bulky for my liking and seems to spoil the lines of the car.
Wheels will be next to be paint in either gloss white or silver.
