Muscle car/engine lovers! Have you seen this??!!!!

I was browsing another forum, and saw a thread about a 1/4 scale Hemi engine!! This is the first I`ve heard of this one. Has anyone else seen this:

Yeah, that's been out for awhile. Wal-Mart had them clearanced at $40 last Friday. I picked up the last one.

AAAhhhhh! You guys are killing me! They have these at Wal Mart? The 1/4 scale version??

Yeah, SRP on the box is $70. Clearanced out at $40. The lady even gave me the promo poster....

If your local Wal-Mart has them they're most likely up on top of the shelves where the overstock is. I have yet to see a Wal-Mart put these engines on the regular stock shelves.

Unless your reading every thread on the board, you would have missed it (like I did). I wish someone would have started a thread on this: I would have kept my eyes open!! :) :)

I took a look at the parts, and it looks alot like the Revell kit, believe it or not. There are *alot* of parts. Has anyone thought of cracking open the base and hooking a potentiometer up to the motor to have throttle control? Better yet, modify the carbs with working throttle plates and linkages so the throttle actually controls the rpm? I would like to get leds or lamps so you can see the firing order as well, like the original Revell kit.

even better than this is the connely precision engines. they too are 1/4 scale and actually run. but lots of cash. lol
