well i posted this in the central illinois section and no one responded. i don't think yall check that too much... well this is my question. i just got a compustar alarm and and apexi muffler. i'm looking for a good shop who does the mendral (sp) bend custom piping. also i'm looking for a really good shop to install my compustar alarm. i've been told it's really difficult to install with the pager and auto start for a manual transmission. so if anyone is really good at any of this or knows someone near chicago please let me know. thanks!
Johnnie

Drivers' Image doesn't install mufflers. They always recommended to go to Iggy's Custom Muffler Shop at 7230 W. Montrose in Norridge by the HIP (Harlem Irving Plaza).

Which Compustar alarm unit do you have? And, where did you get it?

Iggy's Custom Muffler Shop. do they do the mendrel bend? i'm lookin for a good deal so i gotta shop around and hopefully save some time by askin if yall know some good deals. umm the compustar i have... it's the 3rd generation AS remote pager, starter, all that stuff. is there a product number you lookin for? i got it from this guy here in texas. he owns a shop and was gettin rid of these. but he said these are pretty complex to install so make sure the installer knows what they are doing. xivera, you know any places around that can take care of this for a good price? thanks again for the help! oh and i don't have it here at school with me. that's why i need someone at home in chicago who can do it for me when i come home in may.

Actually any alarm can do it...but by law it is illegal because you need to bypass the saftey switch which does not let the car start without putting the clutch in. The Compustar alarm...as far as I know...is the only legal one out there right now that does not bypass any saftey switches and is compatible with manual tranny's. The alarm is set when you leave your vehicle running. It sees the car is not in gear and it will turn on next time. If it is left in gear the car will not turn on.

Sorry for the long post but I just wanted to share the info.

oh ps

I've seen them go for 600- 900 installed.
