Alright 93 3.8L... the old fuel pump was on its way out had a slight rough idle and the pump was making noise. i bought a new one installed it and all it does now is go up to 1500 rpm the falls down roughly and die..... did i do something wrong? better yet that fuel tube thing that goes into the pump, does that have to go inside the pump tube or just put it in there with its rubber bushing thing? thats how it seemed to come out??? help plz

Check your codes for a clue to your problem.

no codes! check engine light doesnt come on either.... i ordered a fuel sending unit. ya kno the thing that holds the pump and has the metal fuel lines and what not.... hopefully that will fix it!
