Another contest question

Ok, I am currently working on a project for a contest at my LHS for April. Looks like it will be finished, but, with several unanticipated flaws. Nothing extreme enough to want to redo anything, but they are noticeable (slight paint bleeding under masking, tiny dust specs in paint). Would you guys still enter it, or just go check it out and not bother entering? I dont really care about having my work analyzed by everyone, but I wont need to rush to get it done this way. Just wanted to know how you guys work around your mistakes in these situations.

The mistakes you're describing, personally I would fix.

Are you going to win, or are you going for fun and to learn? If you are really worried about people looking at your car and analyzing it and hurting your fragile pride by commenting on this or that mistake, don't put it in. But, if you are going to learn and have fun, put your car into the contest! People will look at your car, and will probably keep mum about it unless you ask. If there are some fantastic builders there, and you catch them scoping your build (which they will be I promise) ask them "Hey, I had trouble with...." and they will say "Yeah I see that. It looks like you did.... you can fix it/avoid it/do it better by...." and there you go, new tools into your modeling tool box. You can look at other models all you want, but you'll never get better until someone looks at yours. And who knows, you might be surprised with a prize. Unless your model is far from your best work, enter it. As we all say here, each model is a learning experience. I personally love adding people's opinions and advice to the lesson in the model.

Fix them

yeah, Im not really taking it too seriously, but I am a bit of a perfectionist. Problem is, it seems like every time I try to fix something I mess something else up. At this point I almost just want to get the darn thing done. I also know that if I try to fix everything it wont be done by April 2nd anyways. I think I will just fix what I can and see how it goes. Thanks guys.

one more thing. There is a small bubble in the paint on the body. I got a little close on the last coat. I was thinking once it cures I could sand with a fine grit and fill in the bubble with a little paint, then go over with rubbing compound. I did a search on this problem and one person suggested it. Has anyone else tried it?
