Inside top cover of DPFI?

Has anybody taken the cover off the DPFI? What is the v shaped peice in there for? Does is hurt airflow? Has anybody removed it? I would have taken a picture of it but I didn't have time.

yeah I"ve taken it off and have seen it. Not sure what it is for but I would say it wouldn't hurt to take it off, just don't remove the cover over the throttle body, that's pretty important. I don't think it really hurts air flow though.

Took mine out. Really didn't notice a difference but i figure the less restriction the better.

not worth it...it creates turbulence in the intake, its actually better off in there. i took it out and only noticed my gas mileage drop slightly.

well i took mine out and well i enver noticedm uch either but i think i lost os so im jsut stuck with out it. o hwell.

i took mine out a lil after i bought my car bc its not needed. It directs airflow to go a certain way. I actually made a thread about it when i was a NNOOOBBB. I noticed a lil difference and it made my car louder.

made mine a bit louder, also took out the screen at the same time. but then i just did an MPFI swap and realized how ghey DPFI was.
