We are having trouble with our 1996 Gmc Jimmy 4wd. It won't start. When you turn the key it acts like it is not getting any gas. We have replaced the fuel filter, checked fuel pump, had a diagnostics check done all sensors are good. My husband took the coil and modular off and had them tested and they were good. He bought a crank sensor and that was not the problem. Spark plugs are fine. He is getting fire to the coil but from the coil out there is none. But the coil tested fine. If anyone has an idea of what it might be or know of any free online manuals that could help me please let me know. Thanks

How do you check the fuel pressure? And if it is fine what else could we check?

There is a shrader type valve on one of the fuel lines on the left rear of the engine.

I just had this exact problem, see my post "96 Jimmy Hard Start" for ideas and the solution I used.

Try starting fluid to see if it will start with that.

One thing at a time please.

There should be a fitting where you can test the fuel pressure on the incoming lines from the fuel tank.

Thanks for all your help. We tried everything. We decided to try the coil one more time. Bought a new one put it on and the vechicle started right up.
