Mystery Leak
Hey all have just noticed a leak in the rear of my 90 Cherokee......the floor in the rear compartment is soaked and thats a bad thing for all the computer parts that i have to carry for work.......any suggestions as to where to begin? Are the 90's cherokees notorious for these leaks ?
Thanks

Is there any kind of smell like fluid or is it just water? I don't think there's anything under there that would cause an absorbtion into that area from under the vehicle unless it has been raining or snowing a lot. Check under it for a drain plug in the floor pan that may be rotted or missing. Other than that, if it is just water it could be coming from a bad rear window seal. Just guessing, but unless there is a smell other than water, it must be from the weather elements or the road.

Have you got a roof rack? Check the bolts that hold it to the roof. It's possible that one has fallen out and letting water in from the roof. The foam in the headliner would act like a channel to the floor pan.
