damn i wish i were in australia. he wants a skyline for drifting i guess. but wouldnt you want the r34? doesnt it have more torque? i dont know much on skylines but i think this guy should get a silvia rather than a skyline

If he want's a Skyline for drifting, he wants a GTS-T or something, but not a GT-R, so doesn't really matter, I'd say R32 with R33 RB25 because it's lighter then the later models...and looks better....

spot on... but i am looking at something cheaper than the r33's around here. i dont want to be drifting around on a peronal loan...
my friend bought a r33 gt-s t for 21.
im looking for something under 5.
i know its possible but i just dont know were to look.
do i ahve to get some friends in japan or something.
a gtr is all wheel drive and well over priced.
i went drifting in a girl called chelsea's r32 with a rb25 in it. it was mad. and she said "if you want to get into drifting dont pay over 5 g's for your first drift car."
meanign she got hers for under 5'gs.
thansk for your help guys and one day you will see me sideways in a wicked sill80 or sumfin.
peace out yall

that doesnt necessarily mean she got hers for under 5gs...the skyline may not have been her first car...and if it was her first and she did get it for under 5gs then like logik said ask her where to look

i'd be surprised if you found one for under 5k.. i'd say get an ae86 or somethin. that wouldn't be too bad for a drift car, and it would be cheap so you could put more money into other things like suspsension and bolt ons

About that, aren't 86s carburated? How tdoes the engine not cut out when it's sliding? I saw this thing on discovery about WWII american fighter planes that crashed because their carburated engines cut out when they were pulling to many Gs, has this ever happened in drifting?

Why not offer him a 240? instead of a AE86.... Umm the planes crash because they pull so many Gs the air struggles to get in adn also the fuel rushs away from the fuel line

Would the fuel rush away in a drift to?

why was this guys first post typed so retarded? And you sound like an idiot. You say you want to get into the drift scene? and you've already just drifted a skyline? So you already know how to drift then? id say find a silvia..

What the fuck was that all about? We didn't talk down to you because we have good cars and you don't (hell, I have a 1991 Topaz), we talk down to you because you don't know shit and haven't made the slightest effort to learn anything!

ahaha no the AE86 are not carburated. they come with a 4A-GE which is a 1.6 liter 16 valve twin cam sequential fuel injected engine. they also come supercharged from the factory called the 4A-GZE found in the mark I MR2's. those engines were quit ahead of their time.

the ae86 has a blow through carbie not a suck carbie on the turbo versions which is a total different ball game and at high speeds and different angles and stuff the float is set so it doesnt loose fuel.

i always thought the 4AGE was fuel injected, i've seen them with both a MAP and MAF sensor. also i remember that for the toyota engine codes, E also stands for electronic fuel management and that T stands for turbo, and that Z stands for super charged.

here is a link all about hte 4A-GE if your curious http://www.billzilla.org/4agstock.htm
