New SMG M3 Coupe? Went from 70mph+

Does anyone know these cars pretty well? I just did a couple searches and came up with 3.2L 333hp 365tq and anywhere from 13.1-13.6@103-107mph

Is this accurate? Is it a NA or SCed motor?

I walked away from this guy faster than I did the M5 back when I trapped ~107mph. After baiting me over and over, I raced him from 70mph. He just did not think he would lose and when he was back about half a football field by the time I hit 137mph, it must have been a huge surprise. :p

I actually wasn't really paying attention to the speed and after I saw 137mph, I looked at him and bam the speed limiter hit. I never thought to have the speed limiter removed like I had done on my other tunes, and actually it is probably a good idea to have it there. I wonder how long this motor can run at 150mph.

After I slowed down and let him come along side of me, I looked over and he just had this shocked look on his face. I tried to tell him it wouldn't be pretty.

the bmw m3 SMG is NA. it actually makes 333hp, and 262 lb ft.

I looked on drag times, and most of the stock (or close to stock) m3's ran anywhere from a 12.9-13.2 at 107-110.

motortrend tested the m3 smg, and it said 13.3 at around 107, so your estimates are pretty good.

the current M3 is actually my dream car, so I am planning on getting one in the next 5 yrs.

good race, and u need to get that limiter removed.

You lucky SOB. I'd love to take an M3 someday. The look on his face must've been priceless though. Good kill. L8...

Best times I've seen for the SMGII coupe are 13.1s, but I've heard that you can grab a 12.9 with alot of practice. The SMGII is the fastest shifting SMG out there, and with launch control you can get really good times with practice. I've read that a simple cam can drop it to a low 12. I'm thinking about getting one beofre they release the 06 ///M3s. Possibly next April (not the up comming one, but the one after the upcomming one). I'm looking for a kit that lowers the compression of the motor so I can grab the turbo for it.

So do they have better topend than a C5 or 03+ Cobra?

OR is it closer to a LS1 camaro's topend?

Dunno, I think stock for stock, they'll hold (possibly beat, depending on driver) a regular 'Vette, but it takes a hella driver in one to ust hold with a Z06. I've heard they pull real strong up top though. Dont have mroe than maybe ten minutes behind the wheel of one, and it was just driving it around a block, so I cant tell ya from expierience.
