Sunroof

Just wondering, is the S13 coupe's sunroof a flip-up like the S13 hatchback or a slider like the S14? I think it's a slider, but just wanna make sure.

i think they come with both flip ups and sliders. mine just flips up manually but also comes right out if i want an open roof.

I was asking about the coupe's sunroof, but thanks for the info D-Bo, I didn't know it could be taken out, that's pretty cool.

i meant that i was pretty sure the coupe has both. and its kinda cool that it comes out but its such a bitch to do.. and the glass is heavy so you can't do it when you're driving

Mine jsut slides right back... Maybe that will help...i havent seen any other conv. so i dont know on the other ones...

Is it a power sunroof?

my 92 hatch has a different design then my 93 coupe. The 93 is way better. The 92 hatch just pops up, but makes bad wind noise...its not solid. THe coupes has a better "flipper" and holds the sunroof down with more force. I think they may have redesigned it for that reason. BUT i just looked at my bros 93 hatch and his is like my 92 hatch???? so i guess the coupe came with a different design. But all of them are flip ups. So i dont know thats weird.

Mine slides right back into the top of my car so its hidden and there is next to no wind noise. And yes its power...only thing i dont like about it is when you go to close it your holding down teh Close part of the button and it stops about 3/4 the way closed like as if its a position desired by all? and then you push it again and it closes

Ok, that's great, it's what I wanted to know, because the slider sunroofs are awesome, the cheapo flip-ups are gay and are what they use on Pimp my Ride. BTW, have you guys seen the one with the Hijet???? The kid had a NOS sticker on his back window when he first came in!!!!! lol

i agree the pop ups are gay....but my coupe one compared to the hatches is just damn good. It has a lock release button too...its definently more "engineered" to work well. Ill try to take pics if you really want to see them lol.

I can get pics of my Power Sliding Sunroof for you...so maybe you can loof at both and decide for yourself which one could make the decision of your car

Well the coupe I'm ganna go see tomorrow (or technically today) has a sunroof and I just wanted to make sure I was right about it being a power slider, that's why I love the coupe so much, it's perfect, except for the gay digital speedo, of I get a coupe, I'll see about swapping in a hatch gauge cluster...

they have digital speedos...wow i didnt kno that...now im really glad i got the hatch

every 240 i see got a diffrnt moon roof, mine is made by websteen ??? ( something like that ) my freind has a sliding one, and the other has a automatic one? mine slides but its manual?

Yeah, I'd rather have a coupe, again, I love the hatch, but I like the coupe more! lol (It pretty much ll comes down to the sunroof.)
