speakers for 79 T/A

Currently, my 79 Trans Am runs a pair of MTX 6X9 speakers right below the rear windshield. Also, there is a pair of component speakers in the side of the front console ( I believe 6" ) with separate tweeters mounted next to them. This seems like a pathetic setup. Has anybody found a creative way to add more speakers to these cars. My sail panels are empty next to my back seats and I've seen other cars with speakers there, is this an option?. Does Pontiac make doors with holes for speakers? I find it amazing that there are no speakers found in my doors. Is it just because of the age of the car? Can I make them fit in my stock doors? Of course I throw the subs in the trunk. Anything you guys can think of will help!

well, id have to say you could put some speakers in the door but if you dont want to cut up your doors to much id mount a couple 6-1/2 inch speakers under the dash. Thats what im thinking about doing with my 80 t/a.
