Looked at the car

Well I test drove the 92 240sx... Well it was quick. The car has 180,000 miles but I think maybe the last owner swapped in a newer motor cause this thing had balls. The tranny was swapped and shifted smooth but did feel "solid". Maybe im just used to German cars but is the shift suppose to feel "weird" when you press it into gear hard? Like I feel it go into gear but if I keep pressing it shakes? The car has warped rotors which makes it shake like a bitch. However one thing that concerned me was when I looked in the passenger front wheel well and look in the back where the engine bay/wheel well connect to the fire wall. It was slightly coming apart and had a few popped rivets. I’m wondering if this could have been from an accident. Over all I like the car but I think I should probably pass on this one :frown: The fact that this thing could have been in a wreak scares me. I’m going to talk to a few shops I know cause they can probably get me a mint 240 coupe cheap.

my 240 does something like that too...not sure y tho

There's vibrations in the transmission, if you press the shifter all the way to the edge, it'll transfer more vibrations then if you let it sit in it's gate.

D-bos right...when i was lookin i found 2 one wit 180k which my bro bought and another wit 159k...i talked to the guy with the 159k for like 3 weeks and right before i was gonna buy it i found one wit only 116k and in almost perfect condition...unless u really need a car the take ur time and look

i have a 92 and my rotors are warped also....

just get new ones if it really bothers you.. stockers are pretty cheap
