97 Astro vibration

Hi, we have a 97 Astro, It vibrates at speed exceeding 65 MPH, when it aproaches 75 it feels like it is going to fall apart. We recently had 4 new tires thinking that would help, it didn't.We had it to a mechanic he can't find any problem. It did recently have a new exhause system installed. We live in pot hole city too, if it is from hitting a pot hole what could we look for? Thanks, take care and God bless

I take it that this is a new problem.
Rule of thumb: if the steering wheel vibrates, look at the front end. If the floors vibrate, look at the drive train.
These vehicles seem to be tough on front ends, tie rods and such. This can be very dangerous (loss of steering on the highway?)
Also, I lost a counter-weight on a drive shaft that caused high-speed vibrations You might be able to see where a weight came off. I replaced the weight with a couple of gear clamps (the type for hoses)
