anyone have a used KA24E lying around? mine blew up and im having trouble finding one for a decent price. Id like one with around 100k miles, that is in good working order and has good compression since i am planning on turboing it.

why not just get a KA24DE for a nice swap?

i dont want to also buy a KADE tranny, and i like more low end power which the KAE offers.

Not really. The ka24de is more power, period. The ka24e has only like 135 or 140hp, where as the 24de has 155. You can get a ka24de swap for pretty cheap ya know? But I guess its up to you.

Also, if you plan to turbo the ka24de, you might want to look more into it. I just think it would be a waste of time. Don't take this the wrong way, im not criticizing you at all, Im just trying to help you make a wise decision.

Max power and low end torque are 2 completly different things, he want's low-end torque.

I dunno if this is accurate, but I found a KA24E dyno with IHE and torque peeked at what seemed to be 165.

And this is a KA24DE with intake and torque seemed to be around 140.

Even lower for the KA24DE buddy try like 132 or somewhere around there...the torque is a Black line for stock trim and the HP is a green line for stock trim... You can tell by the top where the green text says "stock" then on the left side it shows teh order of the "texts" at the top showing the Stock one in teh iddle so you must assume that the right side for TQ means the black one in the middle means the Stock TQ line

I'm comparing the higher KADE one because the KAE dyno has IHE.

this graph shows the stock torque line at about 140 and on another stock run at about 130.... off topic look at that nice 13-14 HP jump the Injen Intake gets compared to that gay AEM intake :D

wait, what is IHE, i dont know that acronym, is it like Intake Header & Exhaust?. and the dyno with the ka24E looks like an engine dyno, as the numbers are right on spec with the motors output(155 hp, 164 lbft), not a chassis dyno, unless this IHE is some mod that adds about 20hp, you cant compare the two charts, because the DE has almost the same curves as the E when comparing the same setup.

Yeah, it's intake header exhaust and yeah the KAE is a engine dyno.
