My96 slt has a drifting from side to side problem.
I'v cked all the bearings and bushings i can see, seem to be ok
I tightened up the steering box slacker adjer, but did not seem to help it.
Any help on this?

how can you tighten the steering box? Please tell me how, I would like to know so I can do it on mine.
Also, I would check your tierods and idler and pitman arms for slack and wear.

hex bolt on the top of the steering box, turn clockwise to tighten... Realize though that this is only a temporary fix..

I have some slight steering slop and would like to tighten it up a bit.

ok I have found the shaft does not seem to be slipping , but is some play there.

Thank for the help ,Read the arc you had on the blazer, Was very helpful
after cking things out more, I have changed out the steering box.
There was alot of slack it it.
Also put on new tie rods, Wll fnd out soon how well it worked.

Don't forget about that intermediate shaft :) If you still have some left it's probably do to that..

Well found one prob today, was putting in new ball joints and found the pass side lower ball joint bolts were alittle loose, after looking at the bolts it was clear that they had been this way ,the thd was worn down on them.
