Roof Rack

I just bought a roof rack for my 04 Wrangler. The problem is now, the ride is extremely loud when I get up around 65 or 70mph. Before the rack, the ride was reasonable (much better than my older 94), but now its worse. I was wondering if anyone has had this problem and if buying a wind faring helped out at all, or if there are any other tricks. Thanks.

Hey Justin,
I work for Thule car racks and I can tell you that a faring should DEFINITELY help with the wind noise. It may not eliminate it but it will reduce it quite a bit. Another trick I've seen work is just to move the front crossbar (if possible) slightly forward or back. Many times the aerodynamics of the car just push the wind in to that cross bar in the worst way and moving it slightly can change that interaction. Good luck
