Road Noise and a compare

Hi, I'm in the market for some new 265/70R15 tires for my '99 Jeep Cherokee.
I've pretty much narrowed it down to the Bridgestone Dueler A/T Revo's and the Michelin Cross Terrian SUVs.
The Bridgestone's are cheaper and have gotten better reviews, but the Michelin's are more a road tire which is where I mostly drive. I'm in Fla so there's no snow (though a fair amount of rain), and the Jeep's a 2WD so I don't really take it offroading. I'm in it mostly for rain/dry traction, smooth ride, and of course looks.
The Bridgestones definitely look cooler with their more aggressive tread design, but how much is this going to contribute to louder noise, a bumpier ride, and worse tread wear? When people refer to "road noise" from tires, what exactly are they referring to? What sound am I looking for, I've never really noticed it on any car I've driven. The Jeep's engine is also very loud so how much would I notice it more with the Bridgestones?
The other choice is the Uniroyal Laredos, not as good a tire but they would run me a good $200 less for a set of four.
Thanks in advance.
