CARBON FIBER.

could anyone give tips coz i follow a tut but it doeznt work 4 me!!!!!

that tutorial never works for me either, actually ANY carbon fiber tutorial I try anymore does not work, I dont know what happen. My first chop with CF worked perfect, Did the same on the next and now it will just NOT work.

I gotta agree that tut was one of my first trys too and gave up in frustration.
I gave it a run this afternoon and got it to work with half assed results but got it to go.
You must uncheck layer 1 (the bonnet) to see your work or the hood that you made a copy of will simiply cover it on step 11.
Also make sure the fill layer is set to 70% opacity or you wount see your car at all.

Ok, here's how to fix that:

First make sure you have a layer that is just the hood. Now, before you put in the pattern, adjust the brightness and make the hood layer fairly dark.

Secondly, your CF pattern is way too big, shrink it a bit.

And finally, all you have to do after you have a smaller pattern and a darker hood if just lower the opacity on the CF layer.

Try adding a bit of a twirl to it too.

You may have to play with the brightness and contrast settings, as well as the size of the weave to get it to look right, but you'll get the hang of it.
