first kill

after checking out the cleveland auto show at the ix center with my brother, and actually sitting in and aweing the new aston martin db9 (DROOOOOOOOL!), we got kinda tired (after lights dimmed and they made us leave hehe), so we headed back to his place.

i picked up my car, took one of his buddies on a little ride around town, dropped him off and headed back home on the hiway. after about 7-8 minutes coming to a straight away right before hiway splits off to some exits, a black camaro ss comes behind me from the right lane. when we're dead even, he looks right at me and shakes his head and laughs. godforbid the guy is in his early 30s or late 20s and im a young guy driving a 'ricer mobile' with a 5" exhaust tip, but damn no ones going to laugh at my freakin ricercar heh. he revved it up and took off a couple cars and stabilized, i heard he had some kind of aftermarket exhaust so im thinking this might actually be a good race. i stepped on it til im about a car behind him and blew off really loud... then i punched it slightly waiting for him to make a move. well he did, and he got a good 1 car on me until i stepped on the gas.

at about 60mph in 3rd gear, him being around 2 cars ahead of me, i punched it and held. redlining 3rd, i was 1 car ahead of him. went to 4th.. held about half way through (6-6.5k, 140mph?), and when i let off the gas i was a good 3-4 cars ahead of him. hit the hazards :rofl: we cruised a good 110mph for a few seconds, until he slunk away and took an exit off. the guy didn't even give me a thumbs up.

i've gained respect for muscle cars, but this guy didn't give two shits haha. i think i put him into place, i hope i make him spend another couple grand on his car because he lost to a little jap import :lol2:

first kill with the new turbo, at 17psi. i absolutely love this turbo, it's untouchable. i don't think i need to spend another penny on this engine, i love it! i didn't want my first race to be against some petty honda or cavalier, at least the guy gave me a half a battle, heh. but i had the last laugh.

Always fun to put the muscle heads in their place when they act up. Good kill.

thank goodness you owned him. i would never think a 240 would be a sleeper, but to these guys they don't have a clue what they're looking at until they got their doors blown off. remember mark, its never good enough, when someone beats you bad, your gonna want a bigger turbo :biggrin:

yea i should have lol. actually im no where near the limits of stock internals, i could go up to 500whp and a little more with reliability. but i really don't want to... i love the quick spooling turbo for city driving! spinning them in 3rd gear is good enough for me. i just need some better tires and have to get my lsd in.
