02 GT mustang VS Foxbody

Well I was just cruising around..when I saw a 1968 Z28. It was loud as all hell. I thought it was going to be a beast. I raced it..and...I won. I was like WTF. He was so slow. But I knew he was WOT because of how loud it was. So I spoke with this guy driving a foxbody who was following us. And he said that camaro was slow as shit..and he raced it and had the same outcome. So we had no idea what was the deal with that. So there was only one thing left to do! Race. We raced like 0-60 before I stopped. I have a video, too. It kind of sucks. It just shows me beating him. And then letting off. And him coming up beside me. And then we kind of cat and mouse. It's like 2mb. and 36 seconds. those are chrome caps that you put over the stock switches.

Yeah, it's just a chrome knob thingy and faceplate..they're actually not chrome. They're silver.

There was really no need to continue accelerating...by 60ish he was way back and wasn't even pulling. But I'm starting to think as soon as I passed him, he let off. Or maybe he's just slow. One'a them.

I did the 2nd gear chirp. And he asked for a slow roll and not from a dig because he said "I can't keep it to the asphalt."

Uh...decent spraypaint? I know some company makes billet pieces (window and door lock switches, cruise control switch, HVAC knobs etc.) Thinking about picking up a set.

They don't fit V6 mustangs. :p

From the vid it kinda looks like you started first. It's probably the camera work though :p Is your car a stick or an auto? Good kill.

It's a 5 speed. And I don't think I started first. But if I did..look at how much I beat him. So it's not like that really would have mattered.

He should have reacted faster. I love that whole "He started first" excuse.

Oh that's nothing. I slaughtered a fiero the other night and you know what his excuse was? He was like "It's not fair..I only have intake/exhaust!" He took me on the light though..he had a pretty good launch technique..whereas I just cruised out. But I ended up taking him by about 4 cars...

Thats about what i'd expect actually. Foxbody would be a high 14 second car stock I believe.

Yeah...but you shoulda seen/heard this car. It looked and sounded like a monster. Anyone would have thought it was a 10 second car. It had suchhhhh a lopey sounding cam. It was crazy.

One problem alot of owners don't forsee with their cam, is the power under the curve. The dude probably went with too big a cam. That isn't that surprising, as alot of people don't do research like they should on their cars.

BTW I forgot to add that that is a tight looking fox body stang. I really like the looks of the early mustangs.
