grinding the crank

Is it ok to grind a b16a crank?what should I look out for if anything?

take it to a machine shop and see if it can be ground. they should tell you how much they grinded off so you know what bearings you need

On the bearing part, arnt they color coded? So how would I order the bearing in terms of that, stock they were a yellow color. So would I say yellow but 20 over or somthing. Also I heard that the cranks are hardend is that true?
