Blow Off Valve

I was wondering if you need to buy the intercooler piping kit to put on a bov. Because theres a little tube from the intake manifold that goes to the bov and it broke and theres lots of air that escapes and I put it back how it was and just use black tape for now and not alot of air leaks but there is a difference now with that its slower. So I just wanted to buy a bov. I dont even know if im going to have a problem if i am going to have the same problem if i buy a bov the piece where it broke off was entering to the bov.

I changed my tubing from the intake manifold when I installed my greddy type s bov with some nice silicone tubing. I got it from an engine dress up kit I bought at autozone  That should solve your hose problem but it wouldnt really slow the car down. Actually you would hold more boost because the bov wouldnt be releasing it properly (also very bad for turbo) as for bov you dont need a new one to fix your problem, if your hose leaks and you change the bov guess what the hose is still going to leak unless you use the line provided with the kit if one is included. As for intercooler piping its a good upgrade but it doesnt always have to be changed for a new bov, lots of kits have adaptors with them that allow you to attach to your stock piping (if you wat it to). Hope this helped, peace

Just because the vacuum hose broke doesn't mean the BOV is bad. If you are replacing it though, you either need an adapter plate or an upper intercooler pipe that's flanged for the BOV you buy. With pipes for like $80, I can hardly recommend any adapter plates.

Yeah that did help. So then what do you reccomend that I do with that tube that goes to the bov. Im going to get the intercooler piping but later on.

Are you talking about the VACUUM line that runs from the intake manifold to the BOV? Just replace it. It will cost you less than $2.00 in parts. You shouldn't even have to buy a new BOV, or IC piping.

But the line that runs to the bov broke. Its actually the bov that broke where the line it goes in thats my problem.

Im not quite understanding you awd power, is your bov broke or is it just the line to the bov, or is it both? If your getting intercooler piping more then likely its flanged for a greddy type s (great bov) once you have installed the bov and the intercooler piping run your new line (which may come with the bov) from the intake manifold to the first port on the bov, then take th black rubber hose that returns the bov to your intake and place it on the greddy type s and hook it back up to your intake pipe. That is the basic set of steps for changing your bov and intercooler piping, just give me some more info and will help you with anything else

i think what he means is that the nipple on the bov where the vac lines plugs into is broken.
meaning that he cant hook a vac hose to it because the fitting is broken off
its times like these when JBWeld is your best friend. glue that sucker back on. just make sure that you dont block the hole shut.
