hi
I want to purchase a 92 cavalier but the owner said it may need a new starter and head gasget. Should I purchase? Are these extremely expensive to fix?
thanks

Not if you do them yourself. Can you do these jobs?

I wouldn't have a clue, I have a mechanic that will charge around $500 to fix the head if there is not crack and twice that if there is. And he will charge about $230 for the starter with labour. Jsut don't know if it's worth it or not? or if that is crazy prices? find another mechanic or ...????
