z28 Radio Problems

Does anyone realize how hard it really is to take the radio out of a third-gen? I have a 1991 z28 and it's ridiculous. No I'm not talking about what you have to do to get it done, but what you have to do to get it done right.

Look at the bottom of your radio bezel if you got a third-gen...it has to fit very tightly and snug up against the very front of the plastic trim surrounding your shifter. I'll bet a good majority of people slap it back together without realizing there is about a 1-2mm space because they didn't get both those pieces to line *perfectly* flush against eachother. And to do that? Jesus christ it's hard, you're working with an inch of clearance for the trim surrounding your shifter (if you're lifting it out), you try to lift it up and put it back in, oh wait theres a white plastic stopper in the way! and if your radio stick out too far you cant lift the front up enough to slide the rear in and then let the front back down. ugh.
