95 metro head bolts

Does anyone know if the head bolts on a 95 1.0L metro have to be replaced when doing a head gasket replacement?

Ehh...why not? If your gonna replace a main part like that you might as well go with the whole thing.

yes they are torque to set or something like that. When you have replaced the gasket you should always use new fasteners!

They're called "stretch to torque". When you take them off, toss them. Or, you'll either break one, or have a leaky head. Both of which REALLY suck. Go on Ebay, Partsdinosaur has them for like $11.

hey replaced head gasket on my 94 1.0 had several people say replace them and several say if the threads dont look funny/streched its all good so i used my old ones 200 miles later not a single problemhttp://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/503/280513MsgAttachment.jpg

o get a good torque wrench and be carefull also retorque after letting it sit for 15 20 min remember its all aluminum
