Another paint question (a little different)

Right now I dont't have the chance to get to the LHS and all I have is glosss red enamal (Testors MM). How can I make either satin red and even flat red from a gloss paint. Possiblly adding talc to the paint. This will be for brush painting, but if I add talc would it be safe for my Passache VL airbrush?

Thanks

You can use a small amount of talc, even if you use too much and clog the airbrush you can clean it all up with lacquer thinner. But you probably won't need it.

Raise the air pressure (to around 25 psi) and lightly build the paint up in a few thin dry coats, also using lacquer thinner to help it dry faster. That should give you a non-gloss finish... - Mark

If you have flat clear you can add that. Not sure of the ratio though.

To be safe why not just wait. Patience is one of the best skills you can have when it comes to modelling

Thanks All, I took Stickyfinger adivice and just waited till I got a chance to get to the LHS, but I will still try the talc thing and let you know how it went.
