Tire size

i know this topic has been beaten to death, but i wanna order wheels and tires today so i need answers...

i'm going with 15x8 prostars in the back of my '89... my question is, how wide of a tire can i get under it at stock ride height without touching the quad shocks? i think i'm gonna go with 25" tall and 9" wide, so somebody tell me if that'll rub the shocks =D

I have never had the quad shocks on mine, so I do not know if there will be an issue with them hitting.

the guy at discount tire talked to Weld, who said that with a 15x8 draglite (prostars aren't made in 4 lug...) i can get a 26x10.5" tire in and it'll clear the stock suspension and wheel wells. so that's what i went with... the guy who helped me also races mustangs, so he cut me a great deal on the set (around $700 for 2 wheels and 2 tires).

when my income tax return gets here my digital 6+ gets ordered =D
