thumping

2003 santa fe makes a thumping sound coming from the rear when i back up. dealer adjusted the brakes and it's still make the sound, now it's even louder. dealer says it's supposed to make that noise. anyone know what might be causing this, or anyone having this same problem.

The dealer is full of it. You should get it checked by another mechanic. I wouldn't wait too long either......ya don't know there could be a safety issue.

There is a TSB that deals with the rear bump.
