Well boys I aint been in this forum in months but I got some good news. I am now the proad owner of a 90 240SX SE(I think, it has disk brakes all around ) with a new clutch, new tranny, rebuilt engine and mint exterior and interior. plus it was original owner o_O. the bastards slow as all sin but that'll change. But im loving that mph gauge on my window. Any way I paid 2 grand for the car and I was wondering if that was a decent price for it? the fact that I couldnt find ANY 240's for less then 3 grand makes me think I did. oh and I also own a 99 Acura Integra LS 5 speed moded so Im kinda jumpin ship here. I see how mostly everyone comments on how they will be "dusting vtec's" and what not, but since I have both and compare them head to head Ive come up with a few things. #1 My integra engine response and pick up seems to be better then the 240's I havent driven one with a swap yet but my opinion might change after that, its just a tad bit diff heal-toe'n with the 240. #2 the 240's turn in is extremely better and more crisp but not as nimble. This suprised me because I have a Full Type R suspension on my integra and the 240's suspension is stock. Also with the 240 even though the turn in is crisp and precise shes not as nimble as my acura. maybe im not accustomed to the car yet but my integra seems to change positions abit quicker the 240 kinda plows in tightly. So far thats all ive noticed. I really have no clue why I typed all that out. Also I hate my stock interior seats I wanna change em any recommendations? They dont hold u into the corners to well. And im not new to 240's at all Ive just never driven any older then a 95. and even though alike they seem to drive differently.

2000 seems ok for what you described but how many miles are on it? is it 5-speed? sounds like you said it was auto but i'm not sure.. the reason your integra is faster is probably because it is. the stock 240 isn't a speed demon. especially when you compare it to a 'modded' integra, depending on what mods are on it. its hard to compare a stock car to a modded car because its not relative at all.. add the same mods to your 240 and see what its like.. i'm pretty sure it'll be quicker. your ls model doesn't have a very intimidating engine.. the 240 has a ton of displacement for a 4 banger.. think about it, no replacement for displacement.. and if you turbo it or swap engines then chances are your 240 will be more responsive but again, that'll depend on what you do to it..

well think about it... your acura is a 99... the 240 you have is a 1990. Any car that's 10 years older will feel tad loose here and there. Additionally, you have a 90 which means it's a single cam versus a twin cam.
anyway, from the sounds of it... $2k is a good deal. Plus it's got a new clutch... that is always worn out with S13's. Put some suspension tuning into with a few bolt-on's to the engine.. and it shouldn't be that bad as you see it now.

yea sounds tite. My mom had a 93 teg gs(i think)...i drove that thing crazy on my way to hockey practices. My 93 240...i would have to say owns that teg hard core. Im sure there is good difference between a 93 and 99 teg but still, i dont see any ff car giving me more fun than my 240. And beleive i drove that teg hard core. Then some jack ass made me total it out on the way to school. He didnt yeild at all in the turn lane just decided to pull on out and wammo. but then my mom got a g35 so i guess i helped the family out lol.

sweet.. i love both the sedan and coupes.. the g35x is damn sweet for us canadians cause of the awd and since the 3.5 puts out a ton of power it doesn't show so much on the x.. and since the coupe is rwd, i juiced my pants every time i drove it
