iono, maybe this fits in technical forum. but i need to get the word out
friend of mine dropped off his car tonite so i could install a head unit
well, what better oppurtunity to hook up his horn relay to the accelerator pedal
i need some technical help though, how exactly would one do this?
i'll try and get a video of the stunt if it gets pulled off

Hook it up like one of those nitrous switches so that when you go full throttle it honks. Maybe you could get some kind of push button to rig under his gas pedal and/or brake pedal to make it go off. I'd say both, his reaction from hitting the gas and hearing the horn might be to hit the brakes too.
Or if your good at disassembling the dash and steering column rig something up so when he uses his blinker, windshield whipers, or something like that instead of gas pedal and brake's since he constantly will use those.

Probably the easiest way would be to locate any wiring or fuses for the brake lights, and run a wire from that to the horn. I have no idea where to find the wiring for the horn without dismantling his steering wheel. But if you can find the wiring that goes to the horn button in the steering wheel, applying any voltage to it should activate the horn. What kind of car is this?

I think it'd be pretty easy to hook up a relay/switch underneath the seat. You might be able to steal a deadman switch off of a lawn mower and put it on that, and then hook up the relay under the seat to the horn, so when he sits on it, the horn goes off.

Find the horn under the hood, theres a little push on connection, all you have to do is splice a wire with that one and run it to the brake lights. most horns are grounded through the frame so you only need one wire. Easliy done with a single jumper wire. If you really want to get sneaky you should take the time to run the wire through the wiring harness so it doesnt appear to be out place, also if your friends engine compartment is dirty use old, dirty wire so it doesnt appear out of place. the things we learn in shop automotives :iceslolan

I think it would be real funny to hook it to his blinker light, then it will go, "honk, honk, honk".
Personally, I'd make the problem easy to find because the real fun in it is the actual reaction. Not that he can't find it. Hes gonna know you did it and hes gonna make you help fix it. I think you should also wire a push button switch near the pass. seat so you can hit his horn when you ride in his car.

hmmm both items have a separate fuse right (brake lights and horn)? so couldn't you just run a jumper from one fuse socket to the other right in the fuse box?
just out of curiosity what would the outcome be if say he doesn't hit his brakes but uses his horn right away? just the taillights going on... or brakes slamming on? I think you should definitely be careful and make sure you wire it to the brake lights and not something involving the brakes themselves.

^lol... activating the brake lights doesn't activate the brakes, activating the brakes activates the brake lights. Brakes only operate with hydraulic pressure.

I realize that brakes work with hydraulic pressure and that the brake lights wouldn't activate the brakes, what I was getting at was that maybe depending on the car that there are other wires that are not the lights that may have a more integral part of the braking system that maybe he should steer clear of and only play with the lighting wires.
anyway back to my post I realized that just adding a jumper probly wouldn't work because you still have the horn switch interrupting the power I think so it would have to be bypassed and then jumped.

just run the wire from the brake light relay power input pin to the horn relay power input pin.

Another excellent prank which I have pulled is to detach the washer fluid hose from the spray nozzles under the hood, and to reroute it through the firewall, aiming at the drivers crotch.
