Will This Be Louder..?

Right now... 2 front pioneer speakers..rated at 50wrms each...being powered by 50X2 @4ohm 2 ch amp.
In a month.. 2 front speakers, infinity kappa rated at 100wrms each..being powered by a 100wrmsX2@4ohm 2ch amp.
BTW, the infinity do have seperate passive crossovers for the tweets. All the speakers i mentioned are coaxial.
Will the 2 infinity's with double the rms, and double the power, be MUCH louder...or just a minor difference. Basically i want to have high SPL with SQ. Right now i get good spl, but i want to get more power and slightly better speakers. No comps here..sorry, i'm always in bad hoods. You know, places where you have pos's gazing in on your sh*t. Everything is low-key in my car, no cd's..no rear deck vent holes for the subs etc.
PS, i already got a panasonic 5410 h/u, and 2 12' mtx subs...being powered by a d class mtx amp in a sealed box....250wrms.

BTW, i was also thinking of getting 6X9's from pioneer..the rev series, they have a model 690 i believe which is 92 DB 110wrms.. Don't 6X9's handle MORE midrange....? I'd have to enlarge the holes in my door some more though-stock is 6X8..

well i dont know about MUCh louder.. but id say theyll get loud enough for you to notice a difference. as long as that power rating on the 2 channel is 100 rms @ 4 ohms x2.. most are @ 2 ohms x 2.. so might want to make sure youre not gonna be getting the same 50 watts as you were before.
haha at least im sure youll hear the tweeter difference.. if theyre like most infin. speakers the tweets can hurt your ears pretty bad at high volumes. i hate that shit my sonys do that.. as if the speakers arent bad enough already.
but youll prolly liek the upgrade

and as far as the 6x9s go, the REVs are good for the money (depending on what you pay).. most people say poineer is too cheap but revs are ok for the money. and id say if you have the option DEFINATELY upgrade from 6x8 to 6x9.. te difference in bass in incredible. i hate 6x8s with a passion.
also, a 6x9 might go a littl elower than a 6x8, if thats what you mean by more midrange. but not enough to notice a lot of prolly.

Thanks bro, i think i'm leaning towardas the 6x9 pioneers...great speakers... BTW, the amp i'm looking at is 100rmsX2 @4ohms bridged.....? Bridged means what..?

6x9 speakers distort easily! You should look into a nice set of 6.5 coaxials for the rear. As far as the front speakers go, look at some 6.5" Components.
I'd recommend CDT. Talk to Don on aim: djdilliodon OR [email protected]
He is an authorized CDT dealer, and sells all products new with full warranty!
For your case, I'd look into the CDT cl-61 components, and some CDT cl-6x speakers for the rear! Amplifier wise, what's you budget? I'd look into an Amp that is 100x2 rms @4ohm STEREO and you could power the rear speakers off the HU. peace

NG he said he didnt want comps.. and if hes got 6x8s then he'll be better off with 6x9s...
although.. solaris, im sure with grilles nobodys gonna knwo if you have comps.. at least no low lifes. they look for amps, subs and head units in plain view. they also listen for bass so hopefully you dont bump the mtxs with the windows down. i think it would be worth the extra pain to hide them(and $ to buy them) if you got comps.. everybody says its a world of difference spl and especially sq.
up to you though man, do what you want.. your money, your door panels, your stuff to get jacked, your listening needs. but NG i was just making a suggestion based off of what he was willing to buy
ps.. i love my alarm  .. might be worth your moeny if youre upgrading, regardless of what it is.

I noticed he said that, BUT he'd get much better sound. AND it's not hard AT ALL to keep a stock look with components. Mids in the doors, and tweeters in the door or A-pillar flush.
Also, like i sed...stick wih round speakers as opposed to oval ones. peace

Thanks NG, and Andon. I still got a month to decide. Yeah i know comps will be a big improvement over coaxials. But the thing is, i'm an eq freak..i'm really good at eq'ing my system for the best sound out of what you got. I even eq'd some of my buddy's systems, they loved it.
The coaxial 6x8 vs 6x9 thing, well..i never heard a 6x9 distort more then a 6x8. 6x9 speakers ALWAYS gave more bass when i tried them out. Plus, the pioneer rev speakers are good..they got a good crossover for a soft dome tweeter.
BTW, the speakers are 80wrms each, so i need an amp like 80 or even 80+wrms 2channels @4ohm stereo. I guess the amp i said with the bridged deal wont cut it. Oh, as far as rear speakers, i already got good pioneer 6X8's in the back in which i disengaged the tweeters on...cause the last thing you want is highs from the rear. I'm one of those guys that likes a FAINT rear fill, where you can barely hear it.

I was just saying that At higher volumes Oval speakers (i.e. 6x8 or 6x9) distort MUCH easier than round speakers (i.e. 6.5). Do you have an external EQ? If not, then I don't see how's there's that much of an improvement. If you've got the money to do it, then why not do it right the first time! You can EQ the components as well to get an even better sound you enjoy!
The Components for up front, and amp for them, AND coaxials for the rear would cost less than $240 shipped. Just the Components, AND an amp to power them would be less than $200 shipped. Just to let you know! :)
