OK, im in a hard spot right now, i just bought a very pristine looking and perfect driving 1994 silverado 1500 2wd Ext. cab shortbed, and after seven days the trans went out :uhoh: , well now since i bought the vehicle im broke. So i dont have the money to spend 1500 bux to rebuid, so now im running my paint business out of my wifes car (complete with three car seats in the back) and leaving her home with three kids and no vehicle. Well what im looking for is either a very cheap (working) trans and torque convertor (4l60-e) or a very kind (loaded with lots of pity) donation :grinno: , just kidding. Really though if anybody has one that they would sell for cheap let me know im about 30 miles from Atlanta, GA. Thanks in advance and GOD BLESS

Will those 4l60-e's, work in my truck. It says they were for a s10 and a camaro?

I don't know why not, but maybe you should post a thread on that question to find out for sure. Also, you may want to call some salvage yards, there are alot of trucks around with the 4l60e. I don't know how cheap they would be though.

Just go to www.ebaymotors.com and type in 4L60E transmission, there is quite a few.

a 4L60E is a 4L60E. as long as you aren't putting a 2wd in a 4wd or vise versa. The tranny in my 88 c1500 is out of a 86 GMC Safari, the one before that was out of a 1990 C2500, the one befor that was out of a 88 Astro.
