Max vs. MAx

I have a 97 max and so does my friend. I have a cattman performance CAI and she doesnt. SHe has a pop charge type a thing. Anywyas we raced the othe day and we were dead even leaving me wonderign why? If i have the CAI shouldnt I have been faster? We both have rel;atively the same exhaust too.

i think cause cai and pop charger only have so little different in horse power....
i even heard that pop works better than cai...
since pop takes in so much more air than cai... even cai takes in cold air..... :)

Really Iwas not aware of that so the 2 hours of painful install for just a little more horsepower i wish i knew.

If you put 2 stock maximas next to each other both the same one will be faster than the other. So that might be some of the reason.
