1992 explorer leprosy questions. Please help....

Wanted to know if anybody out there would care to help me figure out a few things about the 1992 explorer I bought from my brother. It has a few things wrong with it that I'd rather explore ( no pun intended...) privately before taking it to a garage. One is that the steering wheel has a distict squeal to it when it is turned that is driving me crazy. Minor, I know, but bothersome. Also, the alarm and remote key locker has been disconnected. Does anyone know what I can do to reconnect it, and/or how much it might cost to fix, and/or where I can get a new keyring locker with the right frequency and/or, and/or, and/or..... I have many questions and if any of you far more automotively intelligent people can give me a quick tutoring, it would be more than appreciated. Also, I said leprosy because that's what my cars seem to get the minute I take possesion of them. Please help.
