Alright I am new but I didn't see this in the FAQ, and if I overlooked it please don't shoot. Anyhow I was wondering what anyone thought about the s15 conversions, like the ones at extremedimensions.com. Is it easier just to buy the headlights hood and fenders rather than to buy the conversion kit, which seems to include everything you'll need to make the conversion. If anyone could help me out on that it'd be great. Also I recently received a KA24de versuses my KA24e in my 90 240. I read that u should use the KA for drag and sr for drift. But in my instance I am fond of both, but more about crushing all the stangs aroud where I live. If anyone can help that'd be great.

First off, Welcome! I think the s15 conversions look great, but all the oem may not bolt up to your car (not sure on this) which is why its nessicary to buy the conversion, because they have it already to bolt up to your car. Also, If you're not experianced in body work, i suggest going to a body shop, so everything lines up correctly. But either way, it should look intense, good luck!

What is wrong with the S13 or S14 headlights? S15 headlights on S14 with the wrong bumper can look pretty bad...as in not good. S13...The headlights are what completes its front end? I mean the way it looks would nowhere near as cool... but thats my opinion

S14 is best.

i think s15 looks like ass on a s13 the body lines dont flow together at all s13 front on a s13 . s15 looks good on a s15 or s14

That's an exception because it's totally badass, but the 2 Enjuku S13.5s look like ass.

i think the S15 looks like shit on the S13. its really wide and i heard it never really fits right.

ALright since someone else brought it up and it seems that no one is getting mad about this thread yet...what conversion do you think looks best on an s13, lets just, oh i dont know, say for example a 1993?

i'd say keep the retractables.. or go for a sil80 conversion. Jus get a S13 front clip with the projectors... those look hot.

As for the S15 front on the fastbacks.. you guys are right the front is a bit wide... but i believe they sell s13 to s15 conversion fenders which decrease that abnormality. Either way, if you decide to put a strawberry face on... you are going to need to do some body work (as in terms of skirts + kit, or wide-body flares, etc...) or else it's gonna look like crap if it's simply jus off-centered fenders, a huge bumper and a hood.

unless you intend on doing extensive body styling.. just stick to the S13 ~ 180sx look... we don't have the kind of money (or even talent) to look as good as the signal auto sil80's.

Sil-eighty is the best IMO.

thanks for all the help and personally I like the car as it is, but it was something i had seen and it looked good, it seems as if the conversion is more trouble than it's worth, really though i don't like the s13 headlights on the fastbacks, which is what my car is. I think they look a whole lot better on the coupes for some reason. Any how I was offered 3500 for my car and to tell the truth I think its worth it because all i did is repaint it to its original color (had clear coat issues when i first bought it) and put motegi rims on. i recieived the ka24de but i never put it in. i was thinking about selling it and buying a 95 240 or something. anyway i had the offer but he may not even be that serious about it.

also i really like my car and i wanted to put more into the performance of it, but i got the motegi's for 100 bucks i mean come on and trust me the car needed the paint. Oh i replaced the belts in the car and that's it i guess i just wanna keep my car and buy a s14 i don't know, i still don't know if the guy is serious. does one have any advantages over the other. if any one could help that'd be cool

well there are endless pros and cons between the s13 and s14. It's mainly by preference and the general idea that one is older than the other... hence, the normal wear n' tare. If you asked that question once a week.. you'll get different answers each time. Congrats on the motegi's for 100.. that's definitely a steal... bottom line is... it's up to you. Both have potential for power and looks depending on your style.

and putting a s15 on a s13 isnt exactly easy same w/ s15 on s14 the fenders dont maktch the a pillar this is if u buy the real fenders and not the conversions made for the s14 did that make sense

yea i am starting to get it, that the s15 just isn't as easy as one would think and that to have it done right and to look good is just to much time and money.

you have to get conversion fenders and hood. THe rear of the fenders are mad to line up with the door. THe bumper is totally s15. Any s15 bumper would fit. Iv seen them look like ass and look damn good. I thing color, style of hood/bumper, and some rims can make the conversion look different in many applications. A stock 240 with a just a conversion i admit would look fugly as my brown eye un wiped. But lowered and painted a nice clean color with some phatty rims....it would prolly look waaaay better. I dunno its cool to me regardless(as in if a kid around here got a s15 conv. i would still like his car i wouldnt think he was gay or anything), but i would only do silvia s13 conversion on s13's, thats my personaly preference.

when i first bought my 240 i was in love with the s15 conversion...i pretty much jus wanted to do something different...but then i started drivin the car and seein it everyday and i came to love the pop ups soooooo much more that the s15...i think the pop ups give it a more sporty look(best i could come up with to describe it)...

I'm guessing Sinal Auto headquarters, same place as the cars.
