Hello -
I don't have the manual yet for this car, but before I go and buy that (may never use it) can someone tell me what is required to replace the alternator in a 91 maxima (automatic)?
Just wondering, I don't want to get into a big job (it's for a guy at work) but I'm willing to spend a couple hours helping him...

Alternators are extremely easy to replace. The toughest part is dealing with the belt, but if you get yourself a pulley tool, that is no problem. Should be no more than a few bolts, couple wires, and the belt. No more than an hour or 2.

Thanks!

Agree with the statement above.
No need to buy manual. Download or view:

the autozone site doesn't seem to have this car (unlessi it's under a different year and name) - but the carfiiche site does - I'll be sure to link to it from my site.
Thanks.
Thanks.
